In Hogwarts Legacy, there is a set of exploration challenges known as astronomy tables, which many players aim to locate after completing the game. These tables are just one of the many side quests and activities available in the vast world map, including popping balloons, facing Infamous foes, and finding landing platforms.

All Astronomy table locations in Hogwarts Legacy

To unlock the astronomy table challenge, players must complete their first Astronomy class. This class is considered one of the most enjoyable classes in Hogwarts Legacy, featuring the character Amit Thakkar and his passion for stargazing. Finding all 14 astronomy tables is no small feat, as players can only locate them at night, as they don’t activate during the day. However, players will receive a stunning cosmetic outfit reward inspired by the night sky for their efforts. There are also some useful tips to speed up the process of locating these tables.

How to use Astronomy table in Hogwarts Legacy

Stargazing using an astronomy table in Hogwarts Legacy allows players to view constellations through a telescope. However, the game does not provide any instructions on how to use this feature other than a set of on-screen controls, leaving it up to the players to figure out. First, players must find an astronomy table by going near it or flying over it, and once it appears as an icon on the map, they can approach it and press the interact button at the back of the table to launch into the telescope view.

To align the stars with the telescope, players must rotate left or right and zoom in or out to line up the central image with the stars in the sky. For example, if using an Xbox controller, players can use the trigger buttons to adjust the zoom and the right and left sticks to rotate the telescope. Often, players need to zoom in or out significantly to line up the central image in the correct place. When the stars are correctly aligned, an image of the constellation appears, and the astronomy table is marked complete on the map.
