The Resident Evil 4 remake features Clockwork Castellans as the primary collectible. There are 16 Clockwork Castellans to discover, and by destroying all of them, players will receive the Primal Knife and the ‘Revolution Wind-up’ Trophy or Achievement.

To assist you in completing your collection, we have compiled a list of all 16 Clockwork Castellan locations in Resident Evil 4 below. It’s important to note that Clockwork Castellans can only be found in the remake of Resident Evil 4, so this guide is not applicable to the classic version.

Keep in mind that each chapter has only one castellan.

Resident Evil 4 Clockwork Castellan 1

The initial Clockwork Castellan in Resident Evil 4 can be found on the rafters within a house situated in the Lakeside Settlement. The house is located to the west of the wooden pier.

You can find this Clockwork Castellan in the small hut situated between the Abandoned Factory and the Village Chief’s Manor. It is located on a hay bale in the corner of the hut. You can confirm that this is the correct Castellan by checking for a note about the Castellan dolls inside the hut.

You can find it on top of a box at the southern end of a small wooden walkway, which is situated below the Merchant near the lake.

After defeating Del Lago and gaining the freedom to navigate in the boat, return to the Lakeside Settlement and utilize the Insignia Key to unlock the gate situated in the north. Climb up the ladder at the back of the gate, and you’ll discover this Clockwork Castellan in the Forest Altar area towards the north. It’s hiding behind a gap in the fences.

Before obtaining this clockwork castellan, you must rescue Ashley from the church. Ashley is required to bring a ladder down in the top room of the Village Chief’s Manor. To reveal the ladder, press the switch located to the right of the desk, and then assist Ashley to climb up.

You can find this Clockwork Castellan in the attic of the Village Chief’s Manor, situated in the southeastern part. It’s hiding under some photos beside a headless mannequin.

While in Chapter 6, after passing the typewriter hut, but before reaching the checkpoint, you can find this Castellan on the ground beside the fire. Look carefully beside the fire to locate it.

This Clockwork Castellan can be found in the Dungeons. Look for it on top of a shelf near the green herb on the cabinet. You can find this after defeating the Garrador Dungeon mini-boss, but before solving the sword puzzle.

To find the eighth location of Clockwork Castellan in Resident Evil 4, you need to go to the top of the western Castle Battlements tower. It is located on some sandbags, below where the treasure chest is situated.

You can locate this Clockwork Castellan by heading to the northwestern corner of the Courtyard. It’s hiding behind the right-hand side of a statue that is covered with cloth and planks.

To obtain this Clockwork Castellan, you need to fall into the depths below the castle in Chapter 10. Navigate through the depths until you find the Merchant, and look inside the grate opposite to his room. You’ll spot the doll hanging upside down, which may be difficult to spot initially.

You can find this Castellan on the rafters near the entrance of the crumbling Stopover house, which you’ll come across after your first minecart ride in Chapter 11.

During Chapter 12, you can locate this Castellan on the bottom floor of the Clock Tower. Look for it on top of some crates to the left of the stairs.

As you make your way past the Wharf and climb up the island during Chapter 13, you’ll encounter an area with shipping containers. Look for this Clockwork Castellan under the lorry located in the dead-end area of that place.

As you leave the Amber Storeroom, take a right towards the western side of the Campsite. Inside a small room, you’ll find this doll on top of a locker.

To find the Clockwork Castellan, head to the small room located between the Cliffside Ruins and Specimen Storage. Look for it on top of the rafters above the treasure chest.

In Resident Evil 4, the final Clockwork Castellan can be located in the Underground Passage area with the forklift, after the Sadler fight during the self-destruct countdown. The Castellan can be found on top of a large pile of wooden boxes beside the forklift.
