One important item is a shovel, which is used to obtain the maintenance key needed to open the secret bunker where the Crossbow is located. To craft a shovel, you’ll need a rope gun, rebreather, and air tank.

Once you have the shovel and maintenance key, head to the location shown in the screenshot below. There, you’ll find a gap in the rock that leads to a secret cave.

Follow the path until you reach the entrance to the bunker, and use the maintenance key to open the closed door. Go down and turn right, then use the maintenance key again to open another secret door.

Inside the second room, you’ll find a corpse with the Crossbow next to it. Pick up the Crossbow and leave the bunker quickly.
